Go Red for Women! Join Kangaroo in supporting the American Heart Association Monday, January 11, 2010

Kangaroo is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Go Red for Women campaign. This national movement, founded by the American Heart Association, fights back against the number one killer of American women - heart disease. Almost one woman dies every minute of this largely preventable disease. In fact, more women die of heart disease than the next five causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer. Women (and men) can ensure heart health by making the right choices involving diet, exercise and abstinence from smoking. Kangaroo supports Mayor Barrett's Holiday Care Package Drive for the troops Tuesday, December 22, 2009

As part of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett's Holiday Care Package Drive, Kangaroo is proud to donate pita chips to the 732nd Combat Sustainment Battalion currently stationed in Iraq. Several local companies also provided items to help our troops in Iraq while they are away from their families this holiday season.

The holidays are prime snacking occasions and what better way to impress your friends and family than with a healthy dip and baked Kangaroo Pita Chips? That's why Kangaroo has joined forces with Milwaukee-based personal chef Britta Kramer of the Private Palate to concoct mouth-watering recipes that are perfect to share at holiday gatherings. Each week during the month of December, Chef Britta will post a new recipe on Kangaroo's Facebook fan page and also on Kangaroo's website under the recipes section. Kangaroo Brands celebrates 30 years in business! Monday, October 26, 2009

Throughout 2009, Kangaroo Brands will be celebrating its 30th anniversary of producing quality pita products. This past August, the full staff of 100+ employees gathered at the Milwaukee County Zoo for a family picnic and afternoon of fun to celebrate. Founded in 1979 by two brothers, John and George Kashou, Kangaroo Brands started as a small operation and has grown to the nation's leading brand of pita pocket bread. Kangaroo Brands has also expanded in the past five years to produce toasted pita chips and all-natural frozen omelet sandwiches.
